KAIROS PALESTINIAN LAND EXERCISE
Woodlawn TGiT is hosting the Palestine Land Exercise on Feb 21, 7 PM in rooms A&B. This is a 90 minute experiential learning tool designed to help participants understand the history and current context of Palestine and Israel and then become
engaged in building a just peace where it is sorely needed.
This version by the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) was developed from an initial version by individuals in Halifax who belong to several social justice groups including Kairos Halifax, The United Church of Canada, and Canadians, Arabs and Jews for a Just Peace (CAJJP).
A 45 minute interactive play involves the audience in the action – reading scripts and experiencing events – much of it standing. After a short break we come back together in the form of an Indigenous "talking circle" to react to what we have experienced, to integrate it with our own experience and to consider what action we can take together to build a just peace.
Please join us at Woodlawn United, 7–9 PM, Rooms A&B, and bring a friend. We need at least 20 people signed up to make this happen. A sign-up sheet will be located next to the office door.
