Happy Anniversary, Woodlawn United!

Wow, here we are “Faith Alive at 125” what a milestone and are we going to celebrate. On Sunday October 25th, we will officially celebrate our 125th Anniversary of our church. From our beginnings in 1884 as a Methodist congregation, joining the United Church of Canada in 1925 right up to this year we have had a formal presence on this property as a faith community. What better way to “kick off” this momentous occasion then by doing what we do best here at Woodlawn United, and that is to feast together.

On Saturday October 24th, we want everyone to come and be part of this Kick Off event, which is a “Potluck Dinner.” The evening promises to be truly memorable, as we will have not only good food and good fellowship, but, yes, great entertainment as well. You all will provide the good food and good fellowship and we will provide the entertainment. There are also other special things being planned, which you will not want to miss so mark it on your calendar today, complete the “tear off” portion of this sheet and either place it in the collection plate or return it to the church office during the week. However, do not delay.

Get your responses back to us by October 20th so that we can be sure to plan for your attendance. Know someone else who may not be here today or maybe has not been here for a while or even may never have come? Then make sure they know about this as well and give them a personal invitation to attend. All are welcome and the more the merrier. Blessings to you all and we hope to see you on the 24th at 4:30.
