Thank GOD it's Thursday!

Every Thursday at 7 PM in Rooms A & B

A series of informative, interesting and engaging discussions on a variety of complex and dynamic issues that affect us on a daily basis. Come for information, education, fellowship and FUN!

Thursday April 5: Conversation and Spriitual Practices with Vicky May (Session 2 of 3)

How can our finite minds imagine God? The Bible has many metaphors to make God easier to understand, easier to relate to. Please join us for a discussion on this topic. We will also make space to encounter God through readings, prayer, guided and gentle moving meditations.

Thursday April 12: Atonement with Rev. Phillip Kennedy (Session 1 of 2)

Atonement (At-One-Ment), the theology of the cross that we have come to accept as the default setting for Christianity. In two sessions, Phillip will introduce several ways of understanding the saving significance of Jesus and help folks begin to discern what understandings of God and Jesus they presuppose.

Thursday April 19: Atonement with Rev. Phillip Kennedy (Session 2 of 2)

Thursday April 26: Funeral Planning with Rev. Mary Lynne Whyte

We are pleased to have Ian MacDonald, Independent Funeral Planner, coming to speak with us. There will be an afternoon session at 1 pm and then a repeat of this session at 7 pm. Ian will present information to help us understand what is involved and will discuss the importance of pre-planning our funeral/celebration-of-life to make it easier for our loved ones during that difficult time. All welcome
